Ahead of its release in Japanese cinemas, Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc is coming to cinemas in the Philippines soon.
While the previous Demon Slayer movie, Mugen Train, was released in PH cinemas back in 2020, it was only screened in select cinemas outside Metro Manila due to the quarantine restrictions at the time.
Now though, Demon Slayer fans can get a glimpse at the highly anticipated next season!
The anime’s PH cinema release was revealed recently via the SM Cinema official Facebook page, meaning it will be an SM Cinema-exclusive.
In case you’re wondering, Swordsmith Village Arc serves as the sequel to the Entertainment District Arc (which is considered by many as the show’s second season). Interestingly, while it will be released in cinemas, it’s not a movie and only a special cut of the first episode.
Specifically, the “movie” that will be shown in cinemas combines episodes 10 and 11 of the Entertainment District arc, then combines it with the first episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc.
This is part of the Demon Slayer World Tour which began last week in Japan. The World Tour will bring the special Swordsmith Village movie version will be screened in 90 countries all over the world.
Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village episode 1’s special movie cut will be released in cinemas in the Philippines soon. There’s currently no word yet on when the film will be released though.
