Taipei Game Show 2023 is in full swing, and during its opening day, the winners of the latest Indie Game Award were announced.
For this year’s Indie Game Award, Martha is Dead from Italy took home the grand prize. This game is developed by LKA, and it is a dark first-person psychological thriller that’s set in Italy during World War II.
Other noteworthy games that got recognized include Taiwanese games Asterigos: Curse of the Stars and Alina of the Arena which one Best Audio and Best Design awards respectively. Meanwhile, Gerda: A Flame in Winter from Germany took home the Best Narrative award. Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist also took home a prize, specifically the Best Visual Art award.
Poland was also a big winner of the Taipei Game Show 2023 Indie Game Award, with Railbound winning Best Mobile Game and Interkosmos 2000 taking home Best VR Game (both games are made by Polish developers). Finally, RP7 from South Korean studio Turtle Cream won the Best Innovation award.

Along with these winners, a special award were also given for a Metaverse concept from Taiwan’s Meta Rocket Co., and the project is titled Arcade.
