Ubisoft unveiled its Year 8 Rainbow Six Siege roadmap, including the first season Commanding Force along with more upcoming content.
Specifically, Ubisoft revealed that it will introduce new player protection initiatives like Mousetrap, as well as four seasons with a new Operator each. There will also be a new map, Battle Passes, and a wide range of features.
One of the highlights of the roadmap reveal is Commanding Force, the first season of Year 8. It will bring the Brazilian Attacker Brava along with a new reload rework. The seaosn will also introduce Mousetrap, the anti-Mouse & Keyboard solution for consoles which promises to prevent cheaters from getting a competitive advantage over controller users.
Season 2 was also teased which will introduce a Swedish Operator as well as a rework of the Consulate map and the launch of the Permanent Arcade Playlist. Next is Season 3 which will feature an Operator from South Korea as well as an in-depth rework of Quick Match. Finally, Season 4 will bring an Operator from Portugal alongside a brand-new map.
Players can also get a limited-time Year 8 Pass that’s available now until March 20, 2023. This unlocks the four seasonal Battle Passes as well as 14-day early access to the new Operators along with lots of other perks.
Other details revealed in the roadmap include more comprehensive player protection features, console comfort improvements, and new onboarding features.
