The PlayStation 5 has shipped more than 32 million units worldwide

It shouldn't be too hard to get the console now.

In an announcement by Sony, the company revealed that the PlayStation 5 has shipped 32.1 million units worldwide.

During the last 3 months alone, the hardware saw a total of 7.1 million units pushed, which was roughly more than double the amount they had the previous year.

Based on the current numbers, it shouldn’t be too hard to get your hands on a PlayStation 5 now.

Here’s more data to sink your teeth into:

  • There are 46.4 million PlayStation Plus subscribers as of December 31, 2022, which is down 1.6 million from the 48 million subscribers during the same period the previous fiscal year.
  • There are 112 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network as of December 31, 2022, which is up one million from the 111 million active users during the same period the previous fiscal year.
  • PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined sold 86.5 million units during the three months ended December 31, 2022, which is down 6.2 million from the 92.7 million software sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 20.8 million units were first-party titles, which is up 9.5 from to the 11.3 million sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 62 percent of software sales were full game software digital downloads, which matches the previous year.

And now with their #LiveFromPS5 marketing that was initiated all across the globe (check out the massive Leviathan Axe in London), all signs indicate that the popular console has enough stock to meet the demand.
