A new livestream recently revealed the Genshin Impact 3.5 update which features new characters and content for fans to enjoy!
The highlight of this new update is the new characters, and the first one to appear in the first phase of the banners will be Dehya (pronounced Dee-yah) whom we’ve met before in one of the Sumeru quests.
She is a pyro 5-star claymore user and her attacks pack a punch, literally! Her elemental burst allows her to swap to her fists and rain down fiery blows on her opponents, ending the combo with a kick! We are somewhat reminded of Mereoleona Vermillion from Black Clover!
You will be able to summon for her alongside the rerun banner of Cyno. We will also be able to summon for her in the standard banner at the start of the 3.6 update (Yup! You heard that right and it’s not a typo).
The next character is Mika Schmidt, a cryo 4-star polearm user. We also speculated before that he would be a playable character when we saw him deliver the missive from the Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius.
Working under Eula Lawrence, he uses his skills to support physical DPS users. His attack pattern is also unique as it incorporates a mini crossbow somewhere along the rotation. Mika will be available in the 2nd phase of the banner along with the rerun of the top waifu, Ayaka, and Shenhe!
This update also brings back the celebration of the Windblume festival. What’s special about this year’s event is that we would be seeing Sumeru characters visiting Mondstadt and enjoying the scenery. This event also sees the return of everyone’s favorite Rhythm games and 2 other events, which involve collecting balloons and using the Kamera.
The last most notable update is the new Archon Quest. We will see the return of Dainsleif and probably learn more about the lost Kingdom of Khaenri’ah. It was also said that we will meet the enigmatic Kaeya in the storyline. Despite being one of the free characters we meet and acquire early on, there seems to be more than meets the eye with this character. What is his connection to all of this? I guess we’ll know soon!
Genshin Impact patch 3.5 goes live on March 1, 2023.
