CBZN Perspective and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) have announced the Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX).
Specifically, PGDX is the country’s first Game and Development exhibit, and it’s happening on August 18-20, 2023. While the Philippines has many gaming events, this is the first to purely focus on game development as it aims to showcase the talents of Filipino and global developers.
Among the highlights of the event is the main stage which will feature various guest speakers who will share their insight into the gaming industry. The confirmed speakers include:
- Michael Albert “Mooch” Mucci, Razer Gold’s Associate Director and Head of Account Management, who is a change leader who enjoys supporting large global consumer tech businesses in scaling their operations across multiple functions as they grow.
- Chris Murphy, the Chief Evangelist of Unreal Engine, embodies his enormous passion and dedication to game development and design.
- Christopher Natsuume, the creative director & co-founder of Boomzap Entertainment. He is one of the top independent game developers in Southeast Asia who released over 50 award-winning games on different platforms and distribution channels.
Aside from these talks, PGDX will feature a range of attractions for the Pinoy gaming community, including game demos, hardware showcases, a cosplay competition, community gatherings, and more.
Plus, Business-to-Business (B2B) opportunities for professionals in the gaming and tech industry will also take place. Activities for this section include workshops, panel discussions and masterclasses.
Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX) is happening from August 18 to August 20, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. More info can be found on the event’s official website.
