At Star Wars Celebration in London back on April 7, Disney+ and Lucasfilm released the long-awaited teaser trailer for the upcoming series Ahsoka.
While Ahsoka has been known to be in the works since 2022, this new trailer finally gives Star Wars fans their first look at this long-awaited series. After all, Ahsoka Tano is a fan-favorite from The Clone Wars series, and she’s gotten a resurgence thanks to her appearance in The Mandalorian.
Check out the new trailer for Ahsoka here:
Rosario Dawson is back for this upcoming series as she once again plays Ahsoka Tano, the former apprentice of Anakin Skywalker during The Clone Wars.
As the trailer shows, the series features a lot or returning characters from the animated series Star Wars: Rebels. These include the likes of Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla.
For its premise, Ahsoka is set in the aftermath of Return of the Jedi, meaning it is in the same time frame as The Mandalorian. It also serves as a sequel of sorts to Rebels.
Meanwhile, here is the new poster for the series:
Alongside Dawson, Ahoska stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla. They are joined by Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck.
Ahsoka will be released on August 2023 exclusively on Disney+.
