With the game’s release inching ever closer, PlayStation revealed that 20 minutes of new Final Fantasy 16 gameplay will be shown at the next State of Play.
Specifically, the next State of Play will go live on April 13 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET, meaning it will be streamed in the Philippines on April 14 at 5am PH time. While this is an incredibly early (or late) time, it’s shaping up to be a must-watch for any and every Final Fantasy fan as it will feature 20 minutes of new gameplay footage.
While we’ve previously seen some snippets of gameplay, we have yet to get a proper gameplay showcase. Finally, with the game’s release coming in just a few months, players will be able to see more of Final Fantasy 16 in action at the State of Play. Though PlayStation did not reveal if there are other games to be showcased in this stream.

Final Fantasy 16 was announced back in 2020, and since then, we’ve only had a couple of trailer here and there. Though the hype for the game has been massive even back then given that this is the first mainline Final Fantasy game in years (not counting FF7 Remake).
In case you haven’t yet, you can check out the action-packed “Revenge” trailer here:
Final Fantasy 16 will be released on June 22, 2023, exclusively on the PS5. For now though, there’s no word yet on a release on other platforms.
