It has been nearly two years since the game’s reveal, and finally, Ubisoft launched the closed beta for XDefiant, the upcoming 6v6 shooter.
In case you missed its initial reveal, XDefiant is a multiplayer shooter that’s a crossover of the various Ubisoft games.
Specifically, players can choose to play characters in one of the various factions. These include the The Cleaners (The Division), Libertad (Far Cry 6), Echelon (Splinter Cell), and Phantoms (Ghost Recon Phantoms).
As for the closed beta, it is available now worldwide until April 23 on PC and current-gen consoles. The beta also has Crossplay enabled, meaning players can try out XDefiant with friends on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S.
The closed beta will introduce players to the XDefiant arena, as well as get to sample the following features that will be available when the game launches:
- All 14 maps that will be available at launch
- Four Ubisoft franchise-inspired factions
- 24 weapons
- 44 attachments
- Five explosive devices
As a bonus, players will be able to keep their progression at launch, as well as up to 10 exclusive cosmetic items at release.
For now, there’s no word yet on a release date for XDefiant, though it is confirmed to release on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
More info on the game can be found on the official XDefiant website.
