After dominating global box office charts during its theatrical run, Avatar: The Way of Water is finally coming to Disney+.
Specifically, viewers can stream this second entry in James Cameron’s Avatar series exclusively on Disney+ on June 7, 2023. The film will be released on this day in all countries where Disney+ is available, including in the Philippines.
While it took over a decade before the second Avatar movie was released, James Cameron did not miss a beat as The Way of Water once again proved to be a hit among moviegoers, enough that it became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

“Avatar: The Way of Water” reaches new heights and explores undiscovered depths as James Cameron returns to the world of Pandora in this emotionally packed action adventure. Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” launches the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. All of this against the backdrop of the breathtaking seascapes of Pandora, where audiences are introduced to new Na’vi cultures and a range of exotic sea creatures.
Avatar: The Way of Water is coming to Disney+ in the Philippines and the rest of the world on June 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, work on the third Avatar movie is ongoing, and it is set to release in December 2024.
