MPL Philippines Season 11 has come to a close, and it is the powerhouse ML squad ECHO that took home the trophy after beating Blacklist International in convincing fashion.
With the team’s win, ECHO took home the lion’s share of the USD 150,000 prize pool, and they also punched their ticket to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023 this June.
Fresh off of winning M4, ECHO had a strong showing during the MPL Philippines Season 11 regular season as the team secured second after week 8. Though ECHO did not have a strong start during the playoffs as the team was pushed to the lower bracket after being defeated by RSG Slate PH 3-2.
There, ECHO had to face off against the top group stage team Bren which they defeated 3-1. Next, ECHO got a rematch with RSG Slate PH, though this time it was ECHO that emerged victorious, meaning they punched their ticket to the Grand Final.
ECHO met Blacklist International at the Grand Final, the team that they swept in the M4 Grand Final. What happened next was a repeat of M4 as ECHO had Blacklist’s number throughout the final as ECHO won with a convincing 4-0 sweep.
While it was ECHO that won, both Blacklist International and ECHO will represent that Philippines to the MSC 2023. Teams from three new regions — North America, Turkey, and MENA — will also be part of the tournament.
You’ll be able to watch ECHO and Blacklist face off against the world’s best Mobile Legends teams at MSC 2023 which is happening in Phnom Penh, Cambodia between June 10-18, 2023.
