A new documentary titled “Hideo Kojima – Connecting Worlds” will premiere this June at the Tribeca Film Festival, and it will give viewers a peek inside the creative mind of one of gaming’s most celebrated directors.
In this upcoming documentary, viewers will get a look at how the creative mind of Kojima work, including insight into Kojima’s childhood, as well as how he launched his own independent studio to create Death Stranding.
Aside from Kojima himself, the documentary will also feature various artists and creators that have worked with or are close to him. These include Guillermo del Toro, Nicholas Winding Refn, Grimes, George Miller, Norman Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches, and more.

There’s currently no word on if this documentary will get a wide release following the premiere, though it’s likely to come to streaming platforms in the future.
For those who can’t wait though, Kojima’s podcast Brain Structure is currently on Spotify, and it features a bevy of interesting guests, including the likes of Jordan Peele (of Get Out and Us fame) and Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell).
The upcoming documentary probably won’t feature new info on DS2, though fans are hoping for a new trailer at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase.
