Despite all the limitations placed upon the brand, Huawei has been continuously creating breakthroughs in tech and communication – especially in their smartphone devices. Constantly winning DXOMark scores for best-in-class camera and optics for smartphones, the latest from the brand’s P-Series seems to be gearing up for another win. Welcome the Huawei P60 Pro, Huawei’s latest photography-centric flagship device.
Ever since its P10 days, Huawei has always put emphasis on creating smartphones that can easily allow the everyday man to take professional-level photography without the need to over-tinker with the phone’s settings. Now, on its 6th iteration, the Huawei P60 Pro is one brand’s best creations when it comes to photography and videography. This time, the focus is on how ridiculously clear their Zoomed-in photos can be.
Zoom Into actually-usable Telephoto Lens
The Huawei P60 Pro is equipped with a 48MP f/2.1, 90 mm telephoto lens with PDAF and OIS for clearer, more crips zoomed-in photos. The main camera helps support this even further as the 48MP wide camera has an adjustable aperture of f/1.4 all the way to f/4.0 –reportedly having the largest full-path light intake in the smartphone category. Then there’s the 13MP , f/2.2, 13mm ultrawide lens.
What this translates to are zoomed-in photos and zooming-in capabilities that people will actually use, and enjoy doing so because of how easy and efficient it is.
We’ve taken a couple of sample shots when we had a few hours with the unit. Check it out yourselves:
You know what the best thing about this is? The images are also crisp and clear….even at dark.
Zoom Into Clearer Images Even at Night
We’ve said it once, we’ve said it again: For Huawei, No Leica, No Problem. Ever since Leica pullout of the long-running partnership that they had with Huawei, we were actually worried that Huawei may stop developing their awesome smartphone cameras for their devices. We were obviously wrong. Creating XMAGE, Huawei has a division that focuses on imaging trends, creating a robust community, and optimizing their overall mobile photography experience.

Zoom Into the Future of Smartphone Designs
Huawei has always pushed the designs that can be implemented in their smartphones and the Huawei P60 Pro is no different. Check this Rococo Pearl motif P60 Pro.
According to Huawei, what makes these phones extra special is that no two back cover designs are the same. The painting technique is on a whole new level here employing a handful of artisanal hand-crafted painting method along with modern printing techniques. The end result replicates how unique iridescent sheen and natural shell texture found on mother of pearls.
Of course, for those wanting a more subtle design, the unit also comes in classic matte black — helps quite a lot against fingerprint smudges.
Zoom Into Everyday Readiness
Lastly, this flagship device is fitted with Huawei’s Kunlun Glass protection which is sturdy enough to survive accidentally drops of up to 1.5m. Because of this, enjoy the 6.67″ LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support of the Huawei P60 Pro in pure confidence. The Kunlun Glass is reported to have boosted drop resistance of up to 10x than average. As always the unit is still IP68 rated for best-in-class dust and water protection and it comes with large-enough 4815mAh battery with 88W SuperCharge Turbo which charges the phone by 50% in about 10 minutes’ time — truly making it a phone that can withstand the wear and tear of everyday use.
We only had a few moments with the phone and from what we’re seeing, we’re already loving its photo-taking capability and the amazing design form-factor that the device has.
