At the 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Capcom announced the Resident Evil 4 VR Mode, and it’s coming as a free update for the game’s PS5 version.
The new VR mode is one of the highlights of the recent PlayStation Showcase, at least when it comes to the PlayStation VR2 reveals. Thankfully, this will be another free update akin to the Resident Evil Village VR mode, so fans who own the game won’t have to worry about buying it again or paying a separate charge to get it.
In case you missed it, you can check out the Resident Evil 4 VR mode trailer here:
As you can see from the trailer, the RE4 VR mode should be familiar gameplay-wise to those who have played the VR modes for previous Resident Evil titles. Though it’ll be interesting to see how well it’ll look and run as it’s on PlayStation’s new generation VR platform.
Right now, there’s no word yet on a release date for the RE4 VR mode. And while there’s no official word yet, this will likely be a PS VR2 exclusive, as with previous Resident Evil VR modes.
As for the base game, the Resident Evil 4 Remake was a big hit, both critically and commercially. In case you’re still on the fence, check out our review of it here:
