Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc is getting an anime adaptation

Demon Slayer will be back soon with the Hashira Training arc.

Just after the end of the Swordsmith Village arc, Aniplex announced that the Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc is going to be adapted into an anime.

Recently, the eleventh and final episode of the Swordsmith Village arc (considered the third season of the Demon Slayer anime) was released on various streaming platforms. Given the show’s popularity, it should come as no surprise that the anime has been renewed for yet another season. Though calling it a season may not be entirely accurate given how short the arc is in the manga.

The announcement was made with a new promo video that highlights five Hashira. You can watch it here:

Specifically, the video features visuals of five Hashira, including Giyu Tomioka (Water Hashira), Shinobu Kocho (Insect Hashira), Gyomei Himejima (Stone Hashira), Sanemi Shinazugawa (Wind Hashira), and Obanai Iguro (Serpent Hashira).

The previous two seasons were based on arcs that were around 30-ish chapters long, so it made sense that they each got one-cour seasons. But the Hashira Training arc in the manga is only nine chapters long, so it’ll be interesting to see if this will be a short OVA series or if it will be extended with anime-original content.

Whatever the case is, it might take some time before we see more of the Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc. After all, there’s no word yet on when the anime will be released.
