The stage is set as the inaugural Olympic Esports Week 2023 is underway with the best players worldwide coming to Singapore to see who’s at the top of their game. Ubisoft’s Just Dance Tournament is among the 10 esports featured in the event. Here’s everything you need to know about the grooviest competition today.
Eight players have been selected to dance it out with each other at the Suntec Conference and Exhibition Centre. On June 23, one dancer will be crowned the Just Dance Olympic Esports Finals champion.
Here’s the lineup for Ubisoft’s Just Dance Tournament at Olympic Esports Week 2023:

The tournament will follow a single elimination format, featuring a bracket system. Each match will be decided in a Best-of-1 format during the quarterfinals, while the semifinals and Grand Finale will be played as Best-of-3 matches. The competition will commence with 8 dancers, who will be paired up for the 4 quarterfinals. Following these matches, 4 dancers will be eliminated, leaving the victorious pairs to advance to the 2 semifinals. Finally, the Grand Finale will see the remaining 2 finalists compete to be the ultimate Just Dancer.
Here’s how the points are attributed to the dancers:
- 2 points will be given to the highest-scoring winner on the map
- 1 point given by each jury member to a player based on a selection of criteria

Estelle – Just Dance Choreograph Director
The creative genius behind the exhilarating dance routines featured in every Just Dance game. She recently showcased her coaching skills as Estrella in SloMo from Season 2 of the Just Dance 2023 Edition.
Benjamin – Just Dance Costume Director
From initial sketches to the final style, Benjamin is the creative force behind the appearance of the various characters in Just Dance. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Benjamin’s talents extend beyond design, as he is also an incredibly skilled dancer.
Matthew – Just Dance Creative Director
Having previously served as a judge in the Just Dance World Cup, Matthew brings a wealth of experience to his role. As the creative director, he is committed to ensuring that the most deserving performer emerges victorious in the competition. Notably, Matthew’s dancing abilities are truly exceptional, particularly when it comes to the iconic dance moves of “Chacarron.
