Another familiar star is heading to Hawkins as Terminator star Linda Hamilton joins the cast of Stranger Things Season 5, and it was announced by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger straight at Netflix’s fan event TUDUM.
Hamilton did not appear live on the stage, but she sent a video message jokingly stating that “I don’t know how to be a fangirl and an actress at the same time, I’m going to work on that.” revealing that she’s a fan of the show.

Though her role is not yet confirmed, Hamilton is the first new face that will face the upside down (assuming that she’s a friend), making it a possibility that we will see another big name coming in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. But as of now, we can only speculate that Hamilton will make her debut on the series premiere episode titled The Crawl, which was teased by the Duffer brothers back in November 2022.
Linda Hamilton is notable for her role in the Terminator film series as Sarah Connor. Hamilton’s casting adds to the long tradition of Stranger Things of casting 80’s iconic stars along with new actors and actresses, including Winona Ryder which fits the 1980’s theme of the series.
Unfortunately, we might wait a bit longer for Stranger Things 5 to arrive with the ongoing writers strike. But with the addition of Linda Hamilton and the growing speculation of what kind of role she will play at Hawkins, her presence is surely a welcome one and adds to the hype of Stranger Things 5.
