Square Enix just revealed details regarding a day one update and a new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI showcasing the world and its characters like what you would see in a painting.

Day one updates are pretty common nowadays as the developers aim to optimize the gameplay and overall experience further by releasing a patch on release day. And with the scope and magnitude of Final Fantasy XVI, a game that will be released in two discs, I guess that it is safe to say that this is expected
The small update will be approximately 300 megabytes in size will be released on June 20, just a couple of days shy of the game’s launch.
Here’s what you can expect for the update:
- Performance optimization in certain locations of the game
- Fixes an issue wherein the game could close unexpectedly when specific conditions are met
- Fixes a gameplay issue which can make progress impossible under very specific conditions.
- Fixes some minor text issues.
Final Fantasy XVI will be out as a timed-exclusive for the PlayStation 5 on June 22 worldwide.
