Following its recent announcement, Rainbow Six Siege Year 8 Season 2 ‘Dread Factor’ is out now, bringing a new Operator and more.
In case you missed it, Operation Dread Factor’s highlight is Fenrir, the new tactical Defender hailing from Sweden.
Fenrir’s kit is described as:
Operation Dread Factor calls Fenrir, a new tactical Defender, into action with his F-NATT Dread Mine gadget. This shadowy gadget releases a Fear Effect gas that temporarily limits a person’s field of view. As a result, strategic placement of the device will disrupt an attack, allow players to watch entry points, and cover their flank temporarily. Fenrir is a two speed, two health Operator, and his loadout features a MP7 or a SASG-12 as a primary weapon and a BAILIFF 410 as a secondary weapon.
Along with Fenrir, the new season also features a map rework for Consulate. With this rework, Consulate is made more balanced so that Attacker spawns aren’t as frustrating as they’re now a bit safer. The garage section up to the second floor is also entirely overhauled to encourage different approaches.
Other additions in the new season include improvements to the Shooting Range that give more practice options for players, as well as the introduction of the new Observation Blocker gadget that projects a digital barrier to block the line of sight of enemies.
Rainbow Six Siege Operation Dread Factor is now live on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
