Resident Evil Death Island will release in Philippine cinemas on June 22

The new Resident Evil animated movie is coming to PH cinemas on June 22!

Ahead of the film’s release in Japan this July, ODEX Philippines and SM Cinema announced the Philippines cinema release of Resident Evil Death Island.

The news was announced just recently, and it confirmed that the new Resident Evil animated film will be released in PH cinemas one June 22, and it will be available exclusively at selected SM Cinemas.

In case you missed its reveal, Death Island is a new Resident Evil movie that’s a follow-up to Vendetta and the 2021 series Infinite Darkness. Its story takes place after RE6, though before the events of RE7.

The film’s premise is described as:

In San Francisco, Jill Valentine is dealing with a zombie outbreak and a new T-Virus, Leon Kennedy is on the trail of a kidnapped DARPA scientist, and Claire Redfield is investigating a monstrous fish that is killing whales in the bay. Joined by Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers, they discover the trail of clues from their separate cases all converge on the same location, Alcatraz Island, where a new evil has taken residence and awaits their arrival.
