At the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, a new trailer for Senua’s Sacrifice: Hellblade 2 was released that’s quite a bit different.
The previous trailer for the game was a showcase of the combat, but this new one that’s aptly called “The Senua Trailer” was more of an experience. Specifically, it’s an immersive trailer that shows off the inner conflict of Senua that should excite fans of the first game.
What’s also great about the trailer is the visual aspect. Aside from the impressive direction, the trailer also features near lifelike graphics.

Of course, while the trailer is cool, some fans were hoping for more, especially as it’s been a while since the last showcase of the game. Still, given that the game will be released next year, we should get more info and trailers for this game in the coming months.
Hellblade 2 is the sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice which was released back in 2017, and it was acclaimed for its unique direction and its depiction of psychosis. While the first game is made with Unreal Engine 4, Senua’s Sacrifice is made with Unreal Engine 5, which should explain the impressive visuals.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be released on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC sometime in 2024.
