Xiaomi expands the Redmi Note 12 series with the Note 12 Pro and 12S

After launching the Redmi Note 12 back in April, Xiaomi is expanding its signature mid-range lineup with the launch of the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12S in the Philippines.

While the Redmi Note 12 is already a promising all-rounder, these two devices give users more options as the Pro model is aimed at users who want something a bit more premium. Meanwhile, the 12S is for users who want another premium but slightly more budget-friendly option.

To start, the Redmi Note 12 Pro is a stellar smartphone on paper as it features a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay with a 120Hz display refresh rate, as well as Dolby Vision. Meanwhile, its processor is a Snapdragon 732G which is paired with a large 5,000mAh battery with 67W turbocharging.

And for its cameras, the phone has a 10MP main shooter, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. What makes the cameras more interesting is that the main packs a large f 1/1.52”-inch Samsung sensor which promises better quality images.

Next, the Redmi Note 12S is also a promising phone in its own right as, despite being the “S” model. After all, the phone has a 6.43″ FHD + AMOLED DotDisplay with a 90Hz refresh rate, making it a promising partner for binge-watching and gaming.

Speaking of gaming, the phone’s MediaTek Helio G96 processor and up to 8GB of RAM should make it a capable gaming partner. Plus, the 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging should make it an all-day partner for most users.

Finally, the phone also has a 108MP main camera, and that’s paired with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro shooter.

The new models expand their smartphone options, so they could find the right device that matches their personality and everyday needs,” said Tomi Adrias, Xiaomi Philippines’ Head of Marketing.

The Pro model is priced at PHP 14,999 while the 12S has an SRP of PHP 12,999.
