After its release in cinemas a few months ago, Disney finally announced that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released on Disney+ this August.
Specifically, the final entry in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie trilogy will be released on Disney’s streaming platform on August 2, 2023. With this, Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans who missed the film’s theatrical release (or those who simply want to rewatch it) can finally watch James Gunn’s latest film from the comfort of their own home.
The announcement came with a new video which you can watch here:
While this won’t be the last we’ll see of the Guardians in the MCU, it will probably be years until we see another movie featuring the galaxy’s greatest defenders. After all, this film will see the final adventure of the Guardians’ current roster.
The film’s premise is described as:
“In Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released on Disney+ worldwide on August 2, 2023. If you haven’t seen it yet and want a better idea of what to expect, check out our review here:
