At Anime Expo 2023, ATLUS shared a new trailer for Persona 3 Reload, as well as character art for Akihiko, Mitsuru, and Fuuka.
While the game got its first trailer back when it was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase last month, this new trailer should still be a must-watch for Persona fans as it shows off more new gameplay footage featuring Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Fuuka Yamagishi.

Aside from the trailer, ATLUS also shared new character visuals for the three aforementioned characters. From the looks of it, the visuals are faithful to the original designs of the characters, though they have a lot more detail.
First, we have Akihiko (voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa), a character that’s beloved among many Persona 3 fans. For those unfamiliar though, ATLUS describes him as:
Akihiko is a third-year student at Gekkoukan High School and a founding member of the SEES. A popular figure at school, he is the captain of the boxing team and excels at both sports and academics. Normally calm and collected, Akihiko can also be a bit stubborn and inflexible at times.
Injured while fighting against a Shadow, he returns to the front lines after nursing his wounds.
An experienced boxer, Akihiko prefers close-quarter combat, lobbing haymakers at his enemies.
His Persona, Polydeuces, specializes in physical damage and electric skills.
Next, we have Mitsuru Kirijo (voiced by Rie Tanaka), another important character and party member that many fans consider to be the game’s “Best Girl.”
If you’re new to Persona 3 though, Mitsuru is described as:
Mitsuru is the heiress to the Kirijo Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the world. She is a thirdyear student and student council president at Gekkoukan High School. As the leader of the SEES, she directs the protagonist and the other members.
A serious and hard-working girl who has a fondness for discipline, Mitsuru excels in many fields. However, she can be somewhat out of touch due to her sheltered upbringing, and her eccentric behavior can come as a shock to others.
Finally, we have Fuuka (voiced by Mamiko Noto), the designated navigator/scanner of the game (Persona 3’s equivalent of Rise Kujikawa in P4 and Futaba Sakura in P5).
She is described as:
As one might expect from the captain of the fencing team, her preferred weapon of choice is a onehanded sword. Her Persona, Penthesilea, specializes in ice and recovery skills.
Like the protagonist, Fuuka is a second-year student at Gekkoukan High School. A calm and humble girl, she is sometimes subject to bullying due to her timid nature.
Fuuka ends up becoming trapped in the Dark Hour, and her Persona abilities awaken when the SEES come to rescue her. She decides to join them afterwards.
While she doesn’t fight directly in battles, Fuuka’s expertise in collecting and analyzing intel allows her to support the team as a navigator.
Persona 3 Reload will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC sometime in early 2024.
