Predator announces the Predator League 2024 Philippine Qualifiers

The Predator League returns, and it begins with Philippine qualifiers for Dota 2 and Valorant.

Acer Predator finally announced that the Predator League 2024 is happening soon, with Philippine Qualifiers beginning this month.

After the 2022 event which ended in November last year, Acer Predator’s signature esports tournament will be back, and as with the previous event, there will be Dota 2 and Valorant legs for this tournament. Plus, there will be a combined prize pool of PHP 1 million, meaning top Dota and Valorant squads will face off to get the lion’s share of the prize on top of the Predator Shield.

Though the event is titled “2024,” the tournament will have an early start as the Qualifiers will begin this month.

For its format, this year’s league is divided into three stages: the Qualifiers, the Group Stage, and the Grand Finals. The Qualifiers will be held both online and onsite. There will be four offline qualifiers in the Philippines – in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and NCR. On top of these, four online qualifiers will be open to all players and teams in the Philippines.

Winning a qualifier will give teams PHP 5,000 along with a spot in the Group Stage. The qualifiers will happen from July to September for Dota 2, and September to October for Valorant.

As for the Group Stage, this part of the event will see qualified and invited teams face off in a round-robin format. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the next stage.

This part of the tournament will happen as a LAN event that’s scheduled this November. Even though it’s not the final stage yet, the winning teams in Dota 2 and Valorant will each take home the Predator Shield along with PHP 250,000 in prizes. Meanwhile, the runners-up will get PHP 100,000 while the 3rd and 4th place teams will get PHP 55,000.

Finally, the winning Filipino teams for the Dota 2 and Valorant tournaments will represent the country in the Grand Final event in early 2024. More info on the Grand Final will be shared soon.
