Tokyo Game Show 2023 (TGS) is coming back not just on a full scale, but it will be the biggest one yet, at least according to its organizers.
Recently, TGS organizer Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association said that this year’s Tokyo Game Show will be the largest-ever (via VGC). This is because the event will finally make use of the entire Makuhari Messe venue for the first time in four years.
For reference, TGS events in 2020 and 2021 were held purely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Then in 2022, the event featured a hybrid format, though not all of the halls at Makuhari Messe were used.
Along with this, age restrictions will also be lifted, not to mention that this will be the first event since the pandemic in 2020 that will see Japan be fully opened to international tourists.
On top of these, TGS 2023 will also host a wide array of exhibitors, including Bandai Namco, Konami, HoyoVerse, Xbox, Sega, Square Enix, and more.
This year’s TGS gearing up for a big showing is great news for gamers who love these kinds of game events. After all, there has been a worry that game conventions like this may be in decline given what has happened to E3.
Given the number of exhibitors revealed, it’s possible that we’ll get more updates on upcoming highly anticipated titles. Hopefully, this means more info on games like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater Remake, and more.
Tokyo Game Show 2023 is happening at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from September 21 to 24, 2023.
