Netflix’s live-action One Piece adaptation is finally premiering this week, and to hype it up, the manga’s creator Eiichiro Oda shared a special message inviting fans to watch the show.
Specifically, Oda highlighted that the live-action series is finally going to premiere on Netflix this week. And while fans can watch it almost any device, Oda recommends to “watch it on as big a screen as possible, with the volume cranked up, and enjoy it as many times as you’d like!!” This hints at the show’s scale which should make for a great watch on the big screen.

Along with the message, Oda was also featured in a new video by Netflix. As always, Oda’s face wasn’t showed, but Luffy live-action actor Inaki Godoy got to see and meet Oda himself — a dream of any and every One Piece fan.

Finally, Netflix shared a new trailer for the live-action series. While it’s exactly the same as the official trailer in terms of the footage, what makes it special is that it features the show’s Japanese dub. In case you missed it, the show’s Japanese dub brings back the original voice cast from the anime, making the dub a great option for long-time fans of the anime.
