Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will release on Android and iOS this September, but not in the Philippines

Sadly, Ever Crisis won't be released in SEA next month.

It has been over two years now since the game was announced, and finally, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will release this September. The game’s official release date follows the closed beta test which was held in selected countries.

Sadly though, this new entry in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII will not be available worldwide. While it will be available in North America, Europe, and some parts of Asia, countries in SEA are sadly getting the short end of the stick.

We can confirm that Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis won’t be available this September in the Philippines and in other Southeast Asian countries. Until now, there’s no word yet on a release date.

The game not being available in SEA is reminiscent of other titles in the series. For instance, despite the game’s popularity, Final Fantasy 14 is not officially available in the Philippines. This is also the case with The First Soldier, another Final Fantasy VII mobile title that ended service without getting an official SEA launch.

It’s a shame that Square Enix has no release plans for Ever Crisis in SEA. After all, lots off FF7 fans are excited for this game as it lets players replay some of the iconic moments from the franchise, including segments of games like Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will be available in selected countries on iOS and Android beginning September 7, 2023.
