Here’s some great news for rhythm game fans — aside from Party Central, SEGA also announced Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go which is a new installment in the series that will be released this month on Apple Arcade.
Samba de Amigo may not be familiar to many people now, but it is actually a game for the SEGA Dreamcast released back in 1999. Now, though, SEGA has revived the IP and is turning it into a series.
For starters, Party Central will be released later this month for the Switch, and it is a proper sequel to the original game. Aside from the Switch, the new Samba de Amigo game will also be released on Apple devices via the Apple Arcade. Though it will be titled Party-To-Go instead.
SEGA describes the game as:
“Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go is a brand-new installment in SEGA’s rhythm game series Samba de Amigo, in which players swing maracas to the beat that was popular in the 2000s. In addition to three songs that can only be enjoyed in this work, such as PSY’s “DADDY”, Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory”, and Fitz and the Tantrums’ “The Walker”, more than 40 hit songs from popular music genres around the world are included, and more songs will be added after release!”
Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go will be released on the Apple Arcade on August 30, 2023.
Meanwhile, Samba de Amigo: Party Central for the Nintendo Switch will also be released on August 30, 2023. There will also be a Meta Quest 2/Meta Quest Pro version in Fall 2023.
