After five thrilling days of Mobile Legends action, AP Bren took home the trophy at MPL Season 12, beating Blacklist International 4-1 in the Grand Finals.
Ahead of the playoffs which began on October 25, AP Bren was in second place in the standings, though in terms of wins and losses, Season 11 and M4 champions ECHO was still clearly ahead.
When the playoffs started though, ECHO was knocked down to the lower bracket by Blacklist International in the Semifinals. Meanwhile, AP Bren took down RSG Philippines for a matchup against Blacklist in the Upper Bracket Final.
AP Bren won this match, meaning Blacklist went down to the Lower Bracket Final where they faced off once again with ECHO. Much like their Semifinals match, Blacklist won 3-1, meaning the defending champions had to settle for third place.
The MPL Season 12 Grand Finals saw a rematch between AP Bren and Blacklist. Similar to the Lower Bracket Final match, the Grand Finals saw a repeat in results as AP Bren won the series 4-1 to claim the trophy.
With this win, AP Bren has punched their ticket to the M5 World Championship which is happening in Kuala Lumpur and Manila from November 23 to December 17, 2023. Along with AP Bren, Blacklist is the other team to represent the Philippines.
