Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now available on PC and consoles

The latest entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise is finally out now.

After much anticipation, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is finally available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

Mirage is the latest game in Ubisoft’s long-running Assassin’s Creed series, and it promises to be a return to the series’ roots as it is set in ninth-century Baghdad, meaning the latest mainline AC game is finally back in the Middle East.

To celebrate the game’s launch, Ubisoft shared an official launch trailer which you can watch here:

Mirage will feature gameplay that long-time fans of the series will no doubt feel right at home with. As for its premise, the game’s story is described as:

“Stepping into the shoes of Basim Ibn Is’haq, a young thief with a mysterious past who joins the Hidden Ones on a quest for answers, players will follow his journey as he transforms into a Master Assassin but also learn the truth about his singular destiny.

Marking the return of the franchise to the Middle East, Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in ninth-century Baghdad, one of the most magnificent and important cities of its time at the peak of its Golden Age. Amidst the dense and bustling streets of Abbasid Caliphate’s capital, players will stumble upon grand landmarks but also witness unrest growing, seeding a revolution against corruption.”

As a bonus, Assassin’s Creed Mirage also features an in-game History of Baghdad feature where players can learn more about the Islamic Golden Age and ninth-century Baghdad. More details can be found on the official website.
