Fresh off of Mirage’s release, Ubisoft recently shared a new gameplay overview of Assassin’s Creed Nexus, the upcoming VR game coming to the Meta Quest platform.
In case you missed its reveal, Assassin’s Creed Nexus it the first-ever virtual reality game in the franchise, and it promises to give players the ultimate immersive AC experience as it features first-person gameplay.
To give you a better idea of what to expect, check out the gameplay overview here:
In this game, players can embody three different assassins across different time periods. As a VR game, Nexus will let players physically perform actions in the series, including wielding the signature Hidden Blade, as well as experience parkour and stealth.
Specifically, players will be able to play as an elite hacker under the employ of Abstergo. In the game, the player character will get to delve into the memories of three iconic assassins — Ezio, Connor and Kassandra.
It may not be a full-blown Assassin’s Creed experience like Mirage or Valhalla, but it is a must-play for long-time fans who yearn to get the closest experience to living out their assassin dreams (virtually at least as actual assassination is a no-no).
The game lets players sneak around and take advantage of social stealth to tail targets. Plus, players can manipulate the surroundings by throwing objects. All of this can be controlled by the Meta Quest controllers which make for promising intuitive physical actions.
Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is coming to Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro on November 16, 2023.
