Aside from revealing kson’s role in the game, RGG Studio confirmed that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will have the biggest map of any game in the series to date.
As previously revealed, the next entry in the Like a Dragon series will be set primarily in Honolulu, Hawaii. This marks the first time that a game in the Like a Dragon series will be set mainly in an area outside Japan.
Specifically, the game will take place in Honolulu, the Hawaiian capital. To further hype up the game and its new setting, RGG Studio revealed via its official X (formerly Twitter) that the game’s Honolulu map will be three times larger than Isezaki Ijincho, the main map of Yakuza 7 and Lost Judgment.
This huge map is divided into six parts: Aloha Beach, Anaconda, Waikiki, Chinatown, Little Japan, and District Five.

Isezaki Ijincho is currently the biggest Like a Dragon map, and players who have played Yakuza 7 will know just how expansive it is compared to the iconic Kamurocho map. Given its size, using taxis to go around Isezaki Ijincho is a big time-saver if you need to get to the other end of the map.
But what about Honolulu? As the Infinite Wealth Honolulu map is three times the size of the Yokohama map, RGG Studio is introducing even more travel options. Aside from the returning taxis, there’s also the electric scooter which can be used to traverse long distances (all while being customizable to boot).
On top of this, there’s also the Trolleybus which offers a mini-game to give players more to do while traversing Honolulu.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will launch on January 26, 2024 for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
