It was revealed recently that renowned Philippines-based studio Secret 6 helped bring Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story to Life.
Specifically, Secret 6 confirmed recently that it helped create 3D environments, animate cut scenes, and provide visual effects for environments and boss fights in the new singleplayer adventure game by Tequila Works and Riot Forge.
Some interesting tidbits about the studio’s involvement in the game include the fact that the studio helped craft the visual effects for Lissandra, the game’s main antagonist. The studio also animated many of the cutscenes that served to propel the game’s story forward.
League of Legends may be known as a fast-paced MOBA, but Riot has been expanding the game’s world through its Riot Forge releases which feature more story-based titles. Thus, Secret 6 focused on helping the developers over at Tequila Works recreate Freijlord to flesh out League’s world.
This also meant that Secret 6’s team was able to explore more artistic opportunities that enhanced the game’s style and look.
On the technical side, as Song of Nunu is released on multiple platforms, the development teams also had to put in effort to carefully optimize the 3D assets and visual effects for an enjoyable gameplay experience for players on all platforms.
The new Riot Forge title Song of Nunu isn’t the only game that Secret 6 has worked on. After all, this studio (which has offices in Manila, Madrid, and San Francisco) has helped develop popular titles like Lords of the Fallen, The Last of Us Part 2, and more.
Song of Nunu: A League Of Legends Story is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
