Tekken 8 reveals Reina, the last character in the game’s launch roster

Reina's trailer is truly electrifying!

Tekken 8 finally revealed the last character in the game’s main roster Reina, and also shared is her voice actress and other details.

This year, Bandai Namco has shared lots of reveal trailers for new and returning characters in the next Tekken game’s roster. With the game’s release just over two months away, Bandai finally shared the reveal trailer for the last Tekken 8 character, and her name is Reina.

Check out Reina’s gameplay and reveal trailer here:

It may not be clear at first who Reina is exactly in the initial part of the trailer, though fans will soon get a pretty good idea. Aside from a seemingly familiar combat style, Reina uses the Electric Wind God Fist. This likely means Reina is a Mishima, or at least someone connected to Heihachi Mishima.

We’ll have to wait for the game to release to find out probably, though fans already theorize that Reina is the daughter of Heihachi (reminiscent of Lars Alexandersson).

What also got a lot of attention is her voice as many Tekken fans who also watch anime found her voice to be rather familiar. It was soon revealed that the voice of Reina in Tekken 8 is Seto Asami, the popular voice actress who is best known as the VA of Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen, Mai Sakurajima in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, and Raphtalia in The Rising of the Shield Hero.

Tekken 8 will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on January 26, 2024.
