Filipino sci-fi fans can finally watch Dune on the big screen as Warner Bros. Pictures announced the official cinema release date of Dune: Part Two in the Philippines.
The release of the next Dune movie is something that Pinoy cinephiles will surely welcome. After all, Denis Villeneuve’s first Dune movie didn’t get a wide release here as cinemas in most of the country were still closed in late 2021.
Finally, Dune: Part Two is confirmed to be released in cinemas in the Philippines on February 28, 2024.

This movie is the second part of Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve’s epic sci-fi film project. The main cast from the first film return for this film, and they are joined by new faces.
Specifically, the film stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, with Stellan Skarsgård, with Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
As for its story, the film is described as:
“Dune: Part Two will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
Dune: Part Two is coming to PH cinemas on February 28, 2024. More info on the cinemas where it will be screened should be revealed closer to its release date.
