Aside from honoring the best games of the year, the Game Awards 2023 also featured the reveal of Monster Hunter Wilds, the next installment in Capcom’s beloved series.
This new trailer is on the short side, so it doesn’t exactly reveal much in terms of what players can expect. But its peek at the world should give fans a bit of an idea of what this new series entry will bring to the table.
Check out the new trailer here:
The trailer shows off the player character atop a mount while exploring an arid environment. Though the other parts of the trailer does show off more maps, indicating that there’s a lot of variety here.
What’s more, the new trailer implies that this new Monster Hunter game will have large open areas in its levels, possibly even bigger than the maps in the previous titles.
Finally, it was confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds will be released sometime in 2025. With the long wait, chances are that we’ll get drip-fed more info about Wilds throughout 2024. Fingers-crossed that the game gets launched early in 2025.
While it’s not about this game, we previously got to talk with series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, and he mentioned his thoughts on the franchise’s evolution.
