The new HONOR X9b 5G is launching in the Philippines tomorrow, but before that, HONOR showed off just how tough the phone is during a recent event.
Specifically, HONOR held an Ultra Tough Challenge camp attended by various media publications to see just how much punishment the new X-series phone can take. It’s fair to say that, based on the event’s results, the X9b is one tough cookie!
During the event, the HONOR X9b was run over by a heavyweight Hummer, and was used to smash as many thick tiles as possible in 30 seconds. Plus, the phone was put to the test in competitive paintball and archery contests. And of course, the phone was dropped with a height of 50 feet.
Impressively, the X9b managed to survive all of these with no issues. The only question is, can the phone survive a 100-ft drop? Well, you’ll have to tune in tomorrow to find out.
“HONOR X9b 5G has been proven durable as the device was carefully studied and has undergone three tempering processes and we are sure that it can surpass the success of its predecessor. Advice for the public though, while we are confident that it will survive intense pressure, intentional dropping and smashing might still cause physical damage to the phone,” said HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng.
The HONOR X9b 5G is the successor to last year’s X9a, and it features a 120Hz curved AMOLED screen, a camera setup with 108MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera and 3x zoom, and a large 5800 mAh.
HONOR’s latest phone will be launched tomorrow, January 12, 2024 at 7:00 PM. Those interested can watch the live event tomorrow here: https://bit.ly/FB_X9b_Pressrelease.
