Over the weekend, Acer Predator held their most awaited Valorant and DOTA2 competitions in the Predator League 2024, and there, teams from the Philippines made a big splash. In total, 26 teams across the Pan Asia Pacific region competed in Valorant and DOTA2, with 16 Teams in Valorant and 10 Teams for DOTA2.
Everything commenced at the Mall of Asia Arena last January 13 and 14 where the semis and grand final was held. Team Aster. Aries went up against Team Execration for a slot in the DOTA2 Grand Finals while Blacklist Rivalry and IHC Esports went head-to-head for the coveted Grand Finals slot. Philippine representatives, Team Execration, and Blacklist Rivalry secured an exciting PH vs. PH DOTA2 grand finals.
BLACKLIST RIVALRY comes out on top in a 2-0 sweep against Team Execration. Raven was crowned the grand finals MVP. Another noteworthy fact is that BLACKLIST RIVALRY has not experienced defeat during the entire tournament leaving their status 6 game wins and 0 losses. Truly an amazing performance.
On the other hand, FAV Gaming held up guns against BOOM Esports for the Valorant Grand Finals slot. Team Flash and Team Secret also took a shot and fought over a slot in the Grand Finals. When bullets were exhausted, Japan representative FAV Gaming and Philippine Representative Team Secret were the last teams standing.
TEAM SECRET also swept the win against FAV GAMING. With their accurate aim and excellent team strategy, TEAM SECRET also has not experienced defeat in the entire tournament. Jremy was announced the grand finals MVP.
Both winners will take home the lion’s share in the 400k prize pool and they get to raise not only the Philippine flag but the Predator Shield as well.
The Predator League 2024 also dazzled audiences with its star-studded roster of performers from the Philippines. Their lineup included Sarah Geronimo, SB19, Sponge Cola, Ylona Garcia, Felip, Josh Cullen, Pablo, Manila Symphony Orchestra, KZ Tandingan, Urban Dub, Sandwich, Franco, Al James and many more. Cosplayers and Predator Ambassadors were also invited for meet and greets at the venue. Alodia Gosiengfiao, Awie, Prince De Guzman, Leny Ming, Mitchaki, Miho, and Jin among others gave photo opportunities to fans.
