Taipei Game Show 2024 has come to a close, and the organizers announced that the four-day event drew an impressive 360,000 attendees.
What makes this even more impressive is that Taipei saw cold weather, with temperatures going below 10 degrees; for reference, the weather usually hovers around 13-15 degrees during our previous Taipei Game Show coverages. Despite this, the event still drew a big crowd thanks to its wide array of booths and events.
On top of the exciting activities and booths for gamers, Taipei Game Show 2024 also affirmed its place as a hub in the Asia-Pacific gaming market. This is thanks in part to the TGS B2B Zone which year drew in more than 1,800 business visitors from 35 countries and regions during its two days. Along with this, The Asia Pacific Game Summit also took place, featuring talks regarding the latest industry trends.
Also a significant part of the event is the annual Indie Game Award. For the 2024 edition, it was the puzzle game Viewfinder by Sad Owl Studios that took home the grand prize.
Taipei Game Show 2025 Event Dates Confirmed
At the 2024 event, the organizers also revealed that the next TGS will take place from January 23 to 26, 2025. Even though the next event is still a year away, gamers can mark their calendars if they want to visit.
For now, there’s no word yet on what to expect from Taipei Game Show in 2025, though we expect the event to be just as big, if not even bigger.
