HONOR recently held a keynote at MWC 2024 in Barcelona where the brand unveiled its II-empowered all-scenario strategy that will be implemented in upcoming devices.
After 2023 saw lots of major AI advancements, it seems that brands have begun integrating these technologies into their devices. HONOR is one of those brands as AI was the theme of its recent MWC keynote. AI tech will power the brand’s newly-revealed Magic6 Pro.
“As we race ahead into the AI era, HONOR committed to delivering human-centric innovations that bring open and seamless experience to address our consumers’ desires and pain points,” said George Zhao, CEO of HONOR. “We are delighted to announce the global launch of the new HONOR smartphones and AI PC, which truly revolutionize the user experience with industry-leading AI capabilities, while breaking boundaries in human-device interaction.”
The latest flagship phone from HONOR is the Magic6 Pro. This phone runs on MagicOS 8.0 which combines the latest Android OS with HONOR’s platform-level AI, promising to enhance the user experience.
Specifically, the phone will provide users with a more personalized experience based on a user’s habits through Magic Capsule and Magic Portal. The first of these is Magic Capsule which aims to give users more information and options with just one tap on the notifications banner. This promises to be helpful as it should lessen the need to switch between apps. Meanwhile, Magic Portal uses AI to understand a user’s messaging and behavior. For example, it can direct users to Google Maps after recognizing an address in a text message. It will also feature image-based shopping experiences that guides users to shopping platforms.
AI aside, the Magic6 Pro is a true flagship as it is powered by a top-end SoC, and it packs a whopping 180MP Telephoto Camera Lens (f/2.6, OIS) with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. This is complemented by a 50MP Ultra Wide Camera (f/2.0, EIS) and a 50MP main Camera with variable aperture capabilities (f/1.4 and f/2.0, OIS).
Along with the Magic6 Pro, HONOR also showcased the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR, a more premium version of its signature foldable. There’s also the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic6 RSR teaser which will get more info soon.
Finally, there’s the MagicBook 16 Pro which will be available in two colors: White and Midnight Black. Plus, the HONOR Pad 9 tablet will come in two colorways, Space Grey and Cyan Lake.
