The release of Dragon’s Dogma 2 was met with equal praise and criticism as the game provides an in-depth RPG experience while also having a number of technical issues in both consoles and PC. Players have been reporting massive performance issues and visual bugs despite running the game on specs that are more than enough. Thankfully, Capcom were quick to inform everyone that a Dragon’s Dogma 2 patch is coming soon.
Posting on all the official Dragon’s Dogma 2 online accounts, the developers have announced that a couple of fixes are coming in the near future. While no specific release date has been mentioned, they did list down specific things they’re targeting per platform. See image below for details:
Unfortunately, it is mentioned that while a lot of these fixes are focused on graphical issues, frame rate improvements are coming at a later update.
We’re currently still trying to make our way through the game on an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with a 4070 GPU PC build and we’re still encountering massive inconsistencies with performance, with frames dropping as low as 30. But, looking at the speed of which Capcom is acknowledging the issues, they are taking the right steps moving forward. The Dragon’s Dogma 2 patch is coming everyone! Hang in there.
