It has only been two weeks since the series’ premiere, but Netflix announced that its live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series has been renewed for Season 2 and 3.
The new season was announced via Netflix’s official social media pages. This reveal came with a special visual that features logos for Season 2 and 3 in the style of the Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation.
Long-time series fans will know that this is a reference to the original animated series which was split into three seasons called Book One: Water, Book Two: Earth, and Book Three: Fire.
As the live-action series adapted the entirety of Book 1, coupled with the new visual, it’s all but confirmed that the live-action series will cover all three seasons of the original show. Thus, the adaptation will be complete.
The live-action Avatar series quickly getting a Season 2 and 3 announcement isn’t too surprising. After all, the series has continued to be at the top of the Netflix charts in many countries all over the world.
Moreover, Netflix has been quick in renewing its original projects when they’re successful. For instance, shows like the One Piece live-action series also quickly got a second season announcement.
The Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
