To mark the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, we got a chance to attend a media event in Shibuya, Tokyo that coincided with the game’s highly anticipated launch.
In case you missed its previous reveal, Warzone Mobile is a new Android and iOS game entry in the long-running Call of Duty franchise. While this isn’t the first mobile game in the series (as there’s Call of Duty: Mobile which is made in partnership with TiMi Studios), Warzone Mobile is developed directly by Activision Mobile.
What does this mean? Well, the game promises to deliver not just a CoD experience, but a full-fledged Warzone experience on your phone. Not only does it have an element of cross-progression with the main Warzone game, it also brings the Verdansk map, along with other fan-favorite features.
These were highlighted during the media event. There, we got to see a wide array of videos that showcased the game’s various features. Yes, based from these videos, there’s no doubt that Warzone players should definitely give this game a try. After all, it will feature almost the same gameplay as the original game. For instance, up to 120 players can join in the lobby which massive especially for a mobile title.
Along with the trailer, we also got to hear from the game’s developers themselves as they shared more info about how they developed the game and what their plans are for the future. Watch out for more on this developer interview soon as we’ll share the full details in the coming days.
To end, there were also messages from influencers who shared their excitement for the game. Among these is Filipino cosplay icon Myrtle Sarrosa, a long-time fan of Call of Duty, who will be streaming the game today on her Facebook page (March 22).
Fans better get ready as Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is finally launching globally on Android and iOS.
