Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga gets Philippines cinema release date

Mad Max fans are in for a treat as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is finally coming to cinemas in the Philippines this April.

This is the fifth Mad Max movie, and director George Miller is still at the helm. While it follows Furiosa from Fury Road, this is not a sequel. Instead, it’s a prequel that follows Furiosa’s origin story.

To give you a better idea of what to expect, the film’s premise is described as:

“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

As for its cast, Anya Taylor-Joy stars as the titular character, and she is joined by Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne and Tom Burke
