Honkai: Star Rail’s newest update is called Into the Yawning Chasm, and it will feature new maps and companions. Moreover, players will be able to take part in events where up to 20 Star Rail Special Passes, 1,600 Stellar Jades, and other exclusive rewards will be up for grabs. This is part of the lead-up to the game’s one-year anniversary celebration.
As with most version updates, the highlight of Version 2.1 is the addition of new characters. First is Acheron, a 5-star character who was introduced in a previous storyline. Acheron’s signature ability is that she accumulates Slashed Dream charges every time she unleashes her Skill. Them when an ally uses an ability to inflict a debuff on an enemy, the Slashed Dream charges will also gain corresponding increases. After reaching a set number of charges, Acheron can activate her ultimate which delivers 4 hits against enemies. Acheron also instantly attacks enemies and and eliminates them without entering battle if they are normal foes through her Technique.
Next is another 5-star character named Aventurine. His unique Skill lets him give allies a stackable Shield. Allies with this Shield who get attacked will give Aventurine Blind Bet charges. After reaching a set amount, Aventurine unleashes a follow-up attack and re-stacks the Shield on allies. As for his ultimate, Aventurine will get a certain amount of Blind Bet to deal damage to one enemy that also inflicts a debuff on other enemies.
Finally, there’s the 4-star character, Gallagher. His ultimate ability deals damage to all enemies and inflicts special debuffs, all while allowing allies to restore health when they attack the debuffed enemies.
Along with these three, the 5-star characters Luocha and Jingliu will also appear in the first and second-phase banners for Version 2.1.
Aside from the new characters, Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1 will also feature a new part of the storyline that will be set in the Clock Studios Theme Park and Dewlight Pavilion.
