nubia Philippines recently announced that its new entry-level gaming smartphone, the nubia Neo 2 5G, is now available in the Philippines.
The nubia Neo 2 5G certainly looks the part as it has a striking design that’s very much inspired by high-end gaming rigs. Even with its eye-catching looks, the phone is priced at just a bit under PHP 10k, making it an affordable device.
Powering the phone is a Unisoc T820 processor, a 6nm chipset that promises good gaming performance. Typically, Unisoc processors are used in phones priced at around PHP 5k, so it’ll be interesting to see if this more powerful Unisoc chipset will have enough power for gaming. It is promising though as it comes with 8GB of RAM, complete with a dynamic RAM feature.
The phone also packs a large 6.72-inch FHD+ display. Yes, this phone won’t have a lower-res 720p screen, meaning it should look sharp for gaming and everyday use.
A gaming phone wouldn’t be great without long battery life, so it’s no surprise that the nubia Neo 2 5G has a huge 6,000mAh battery, complete with 33w fast-charging support.
For its cameras, the phone has a 50MP main shooter paired with a 2MP depth sensor. At the front meanwhile is a single selfie camera.
Finally, one of the phone’s highlight features is the upgraded shoulder triggers. With these, players have extra control options that should be great as shortcuts in MOBAs or a shooting triggers in FPS games.
The nubia Neo 2 5G at ZTE Device stores in the Philippines for PHP 9,999. For more info on the phone, visit the official website.
