Blizzard announced that Diablo IV Season 4: Loot Reborn is coming this May, and it promises to be the game’s biggest update yet.
Previously, Blizzard launched the game’s Public Test Realm on PC. Now, a big new update is coming that features a lot of new content along with major changes. These updates are centered around major itemization updates along with new experiences for Helltide.
Here’s a rundown of what you can expect in Loot Reborn:
- Itemization Updates: The itemization system is being changed to make it simpler and easier for players to determine if items are useful for a player’s build.
- Tempering: This new system allows players to customize gear. To access this, players should go to the blacksmith and choose a recipe to temper from. As for recipes, players will be able to find them throughout Sanctuary.
- Codex of Power: In Loot Reborn, every single legendary will be added to the Codex of Power, making it easier for players as they can continually imprint the best version of that legendary onto their gear with no need to carry around aspect crystals.
- Greater Affixes: These affixes can be found on Ancestral drops in World Tier 4, and they roll bigger values than a standard affix.
- Masterworking: When a player has an item with all the affixes that they want, they can upgrade those affixes to get even higher values via Masterworking.
- The Pit: Here, players can experience a challenging new endgame system that rewards rare crafting materials to further masterwork their gear.
- Helltides: The new season updates Helltides so that players will now encounter more cultists conjuring demons and doomsayers. Players who survive long enough in the new Helltides will face off against the Hellborn. By taking them down, players will earn materials that allow for Accursed Rituals.
- Accursed Rituals: These are botched rituals from cultists that players can activate to draw in demons and monsters, leading to an all-out battle that will also feature the new Helltide mini-boss called the Blood Maiden.
- Iron Wolves: The Blood Maiden is being seeked by the Iron Wolves, and players can join up with them and progress through the Call of the Wolves Seasonal activities to earn honor. This honor will unlock access to more rewards.
