Elden Ring is getting another manga featuring its popular NPCs

Aside from Shadow of the Erdtree, Elden Ring fans can also look forward to this new comedy manga.

After already getting an initial manga adaption and a webtoon, yet another Elden Ring manga has been announced, and this time it will be about the game’s various NPCs.

This upcoming manga is officially titled Elden Ring Toki Hazama no Monogatari (or Elden Ring Distant Stories from The Lands Between in English), and it is being made by Haruichi who is known for his work on the Star Wars: Visions manga. As its title and visual implies, this manga will be an anthology series that will feature short stories of “what if” scenarios involving various iconic NPCs from the game, with the first chapter following Roderika who eventually becomes a Spirit Tuner (at least in the game’s scenario).

The other Elden Ring NPCs that will be featured in the manga include the ever-lovable Alexander the Warrior Jar, the FromSoftware icon Patches, the Volcano Manor’s Rya, and the crab-loving Blackguard Big Boggart.

The manga will be released on Kadokawa’s Comic Hu website on July 4, though there’s no word yet on an English release. Chances are that it will be picked up for an English volume release at some point, as is the case with the first Elden Ring manga.

Based on its story, this manga promises to be a must-read for fans, and it should be a nice antidote for how sad many of the NPC storylines are in the game. Fingers crossed then that it gets an English release sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, fans can also look forward to Shadow of the Erdtree’s release on June 21, 2024.
