Following its global launch, Level Infinite and TiMi Studio’s MOBA Honor of Kings took the top spot on the App Store and Google Play Store in the Philippines.
In case you missed it, Honor of Kings was finally released globally on June 20. Soon after its launch, the game took the top spot of the free app charts in Southeast Asia, United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Latin America.
The Philippines is among the countries where the game took the top spot in both the App Store and the Google Play Store; not too surprising given how big MOBAs are in the country. Aside from the Philippines, the game also took the top spot in Malaysia and Indonesia.
If you haven’t tried the game yet, the 85 initial heroes are available to play in a free trial during the first month. Along with the rest of the roster, the new hero Sun Ce can also be obtained by participating in various events. Plus, players can unlock up to 28 heroes and 21 hero skins for free by completing specific activities.
To celebrate the game’s launch, an Honor of Kings All-Star showmatch happened on June 22, featuring popular content creators in Southeast Asia. these include Team Damara which is comprised of Dlar Gaming, Amara TV, Sumpak, Cherizawa, Aningning; and Team Buunzie composed of Buunja, Razzie, Binx, KC Bae, Rebengga, and Elie Gaming.
